Advisors assist students with the selection of their classes, academic progress, and provide resources that will ensure student success. Through academic advisement, students receive support to excel not only academically, but also personally and professionally.

Academic Advisement

  • College Counseling Services (CCS) wants you to know that we are here to support you. Our approach is to ensure our students at Good Shepherd University (GSU) know they have a home away from home. We are here to help you fulfill your personal and professional dreams and get the most out of your experience at GSU. 

  • We have a remarkable team including College Counselors, Public Health Advisors, and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. After meeting with a counselor for the initial intake appointment, you can make a follow-up appointment to receive continued support from our counselors. 

    We provide a variety of counseling services to students including:

    - Individual counseling

    - Crisis intervention

    - Psychiatric consultation

    - Group counseling and workshops​


    Our mental health professionals also offer outreach workshops for faculty, staff and student organizations on academic, mental health, interpersonal and wellness topics.

    *Our services are free to our students without any additional cost.
